Get a username

The first thing you need is a project.im username and password.

project.im is invitation-only just now. To get an account, ask an existing project.im user to invite you.

Once registered, you can log in to the project.im web chat straight away. It is a full-featured interface that runs in your browser.

project.im is a standards-based XMPP service. You can use any XMPP or Jabber client application to connect - on desktop, mobile, or the web.

Browse our XMPP client applications list to find one that suits you.

You can now send direct messages, create or join groups, and discover new networks.
